The Friday Food Bag program is a volunteer-run program that seeks to help stop weekend hunger affecting school-age students in Star Valley. Volunteers meet at the food pantry every Tuesday during the school year and assemble food bags for students who experience food insecurity at home. These bags are then distributed to the schools and the schools then send the bags home with the students on the weekend. This program does not know the identity of the students. It is kept confidential by the schools.

The funding to purchase the food comes from donations. We are grateful to the school teachers and other district employees who generously give part of their paycheck to help fund a large portion of this program.
